- Fever or Illness – If you’re unwell or have a fever, cold or infection, rest up and book once you’re feeling better.
- Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) – Massage shouldn’t be performed over areas with blood clots, as this can cause complications.
- Blood Clotting Disorders – Massage may increase the chance of bruising or bleeding if you have a clotting condition.
- Medications – Some medications, like blood thinners, can make you bruise more easily or affect your response to massage.
- Heart Conditions – If you have heart or blood pressure concerns, check with your healthcare professional before booking.
- Recent Surgery or Fractures – Avoid massaging healing areas until you’ve fully recovered and been cleared by your provider.
- Contagious Skin Conditions – Wait until skin issues like scabies, impetigo or lice are completely cleared before visiting.
